RE: BOYCOTT OF PROCTOR & GAMBLE FLAGSHIP COFFEE PRODUCT FOLGERS COFFEE AND ALL OTHER PROCTOR & GAMBLE PRODUCTS.
Dear Mr. Artzt:
Attached for your review and file is the classified ad that ran in the April/May 1996 North Coast XPress, page 43 as to the boycott of FOLGERS COFFEE.
Boycott Brazil has announced that the boycott against Proctor & Gamble Company has now widened to include all products of Proctor & Gamble due to your lack of concern about the out-ofcontrol use of torture in Brazil and bringing pressure on that government to stop this practice.
The supporters of Boycott Brazil will request the Internet cyber-surfing community to boycott your company's presence on the Internet and the eight Web Sites you plan to have by the end of June 1996, to promote your products and presence in the evolution of the Internet. We understand that you currently budget $3.3 billion for advertising.
Currently Proctor & Gamble product Web sites
include:
Please note that supporters are looking forward to your forthcoming Web sites for Tide detergent, Pampers diapers and Cover Girl cosmetics which is only a fraction of the more than 80 domains P&G has already registered on the Internet, including generic ones such as cakemix.com, laundry.com and nails.com.
Your assistance is needed to stop Brazil. Thank you.
Sincerely,
[signed]
John G. Lambros
